BINAURAL MUSIC
Binaural Meditation technology is sometimes called, "The lazy man's way to meditate" simply because it makes the experience of meditation so much easier to master. Binaural meditation involves listening to a special type of music that gently coaxes your brainwave patterns into a state of meditative stillness. The process is effortless and requires no previous training in meditation.
Binaural meditation music will help you to meditate deeper, faster, and it is effective for everyone, whether you are an absolute beginner and have never tried meditation before, or an experienced meditator with years of practice.
My favourite website at the moment The Guided Meditation Site from Australia is amazing for sleep music resources! It has a whole section on music for sleep and I use this and it works. Its also amazing for children and infants.
When you join you get free downloads and I'm on their mailing list and they very generously give regular free downloads. They are doing excellent work and I love their ethos - " It's for people who are new to meditation and who are looking for ways to rid themselves of stress and live happier, healthier, more peaceful lives.
I've been using this music meditation technology now for a month and it has made a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE to me in that I relax instantly when I listen to it and fall asleep straight away and leave it on playing at night.

ESR - Emotional Stress Release Technique
Lightly place your hand on the other person’s forehead while the person remains in relationship to the stress. Most people see pictures. Continue until the pictures are gone, or until the person says they cannot connect to the stress any more. This can take a few minutes (usually) or up to an hour or more. That’s all there is to it!
When we are under stress, blood goes to the back of our brains (where memories of the past are located). But when a hand is placed on the forehead, blood moves to the front of the brain, where “new choice” is located. Unfortunately, most of us use the front of the brain only 5% of the time. You may have noticed that when something bad happens, many people often slap their foreheads as an unconscious reaction.
When a hand is placed on the forehead, within a very short period of time (often a few minutes), the person will be less emotional about the particular incident, and therefore less affected by it. If unpleasant emotions or tears appear, just keep doing it until you feel an improvement.
In my experience this is a really great technique for getting to sleep. When I can't sleep I am often experiencing too many thoughts of stress. This clears the mind proactively and allows me to relax and let go.

2 HANDS ON BELLY
Lie in your bed with your knees up so that your spine is comfortable.
Put one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly and breathe normally. Notice which hand goes up first. If your chest hand goes up first you are breathing shallow.
If your belly hand goes up first you are deep belly breathing.
Continue till you are belly breathing and now put both hands on your belly and notice the rise and fall of the deep belly breath.
It is only when the body is DEEP BELLY breathing that it knows everything is completely safe. This therefore is an excellent relaxation and sleeping technique.
